Thoughts from some of our parents about Waiapu Kids St George’s:
We could not have hoped for a more loving, supportive amazing environment for our children. The amazing staff have become like family to our two children and we trust them 100%. The continuity of care and staff has been fantastic and when our eldest started school recently we had no doubt she was ready due to her experiences and support at St George’s.
We were looking for an environment that supported our child to get ready for school. We wanted a space that natured kindness, sharing and patience and within the first few minutes of walking into St George’s I knew it was the right place for our family. The staff are friendly, the space is lovely and the ratios are small. The team have a great mix of youth, experience and skills. We love St George’s and are so happy with our decision to choose this preschool for our child.
Choosing to put your child in full-time care is a massive decision – entrusting their learning and development to others, but it’s one I’ve never questioned over the last 4 years with the team at St George’s. Thank you for all you have done to help shape Fraser into the wonderful 5-year-old that he has become.
My two daughters started at Waiapu Kids St George in February 2024 aged 1yr and 3yrs. The support we all received made the transition from “home based childcare” to a larger center so smooth. It didn’t take long for us to feel part of the St George family. The friendly staff and fun activities means happy kids, and a great location close to the center of town makes for easy drop off and pick up.
St Georges has been an excellent centre for my son. The staff are so caring and nurturing and always go above and beyond to make my son feel comfortable and enjoy his days there. The environment feels relaxed and inclusive, and I would recommend this centre to anyone
The task of finding a day care facility that meets the needs of our son and our expectations of a child education centre is always a daunting task. However, the warm and inviting environment we walked in to on our first visit to Waiapu kids St George’s, was the first of many positives we have experienced during our time at kura. Being a new mama and my son only being 6 months old at the time, it was comforting to see how loving and caring all the kaiako were towards not only my pepi but all other tamariki at the center.
I can not express enough how well our son has settled into Kura and our whanau can confidently say that the time , love , care and commitment of all teachers and staff, have definitely contributed to this. The positive impact it has had on our sons growth truly shows through the healthy tight-knit friendships formed over the years.
