Government Funding
We have government-funded free hours to keep costs as affordable as possible for our whānau.
The government funds the cost of children aged three to five to attend early childhood education centres for up to 20 hours a week.
The Work and Income Childcare Subsidy is available to help families earning less than a certain threshold with the cost of all preschool childcare. A childcare subsidy is normally paid for up to nine hours per week if parents are not working, studying, or training. For parents who are working, studying, or training, you may be able to get up to 50 hours per week subsidised.
